What IGF-1 LR3 Is

Natural IGF-1 spends almost all of its time in circulation bound to IGF binding proteins, which hold it inactive and give it a half-life measured in minutes when free. LR3 makes two changes to that picture. Arginine replaces glutamic acid at position three, which sharply reduces binding protein affinity, and a thirteen amino acid extension is added to the N-terminus.

The result is a molecule that stays free and active far longer than the natural hormone. Published half-life estimates run to many hours rather than minutes. That is the entire design intent, and it is also the reason this compound behaves differently to anything that works by raising your own IGF-1 through the growth hormone axis.

Three small vials rather than one large one is deliberate. At these quantities the reconstituted volume is small and stability after opening is the binding constraint.

• Let the vial reach room temperature before you open it.
• Wipe the stopper with an alcohol swab and let it dry.
• Run the bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside wall of the vial rather than straight onto the powder.
• Swirl gently until clear. Do not shake.
• Label the vial with the date and the concentration. You will not remember it in three weeks.

Storage

What This Page Does Not Claim

Two things deserve saying plainly. IGF-1 signalling is mitogenic, and the literature on growth factor signalling and cancer risk is not a fringe concern.
